FUL VC Receives SSANU National President During 14th Zonal Executive Council Meeting

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, hosted the National President of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Comrade Muhammed Haruna Ibrahim, on Friday, January 23, 2026.
The National Leadership was accompanied by the FUL Branch Executive, led by Chairman Comrade Abdulkadir Ndakata. The meeting served as a platform to discuss industrial harmony and the welfare of senior non-teaching staff within the university system.
Professor Akinwumi welcomed the delegation, noting the importance of constructive engagement between university management and labor unions to ensure a stable academic calendar.
Following the courtesy call, the SSANU leadership proceeded to the Multipurpose Hall at the Felele campus for the ZEC proceedings. The gathering brought together union delegates from across the North Central region to deliberate on national and zonal issues affecting the association.
The event underscores Federal University Lokoja’s growing prominence as a hub for national academic and union activities under the current administration.
