In a strategic move toward environmental sustainability, the Savannah Institute for Sustainable Development partnered with the Federal College of Education (FCE) Jama’are to conduct a major seedling planting exercise on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

The exercise involved the strategic planting of seedlings at designated locations across the campus. Experts from the Savannah Institute emphasized technical planting methods designed to ensure high survival rates and long-term sustainability of the new trees. Key objectives of the project include: 

Enhancing campus aesthetics and air quality.

Speaking during the exercise, Professor A. I. Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the Savannah Institute’s initiative. He reaffirmed the College’s commitment to supporting programs that foster a clean and eco-friendly environment, noting that a "green campus" is essential for optimal academic performance and the well-being of the college community.
