FUE, Zaria ICT Directorate Awards Scholarships to Two Students for Ethical Hacking Certification

The Information and Communication Technology, ICT, Directorate of the Federal University of Education, FUE, Zaria, has awarded full scholarships to two students for its Ethical Hacking Certificate Programme in recognition of their exceptional performance during the 2025/2026 Industrial Training, IT, programme.

The beneficiaries, Farida Jibril of the Department of Biology Computer and Temiloluwa Emmanuel of the Department of Integrated Science Computer, distinguished themselves through professionalism by coordinating fellow IT students, supporting daily operational activities and contributing to the success of various training programmes during the exercise.

The Acting Director of the ICT Directorate, Dr. Fadele Ayotunde Alaba, explained that the scholarship, fully sponsored by the ICT Directorate, is aimed at enhancing the students' cybersecurity knowledge and practical skills through professional training in ethical hacking, thereby supporting their academic and professional development.

The scholarship award letters were presented to the beneficiaries by the Dean, Student Affairs Division, Mal. Abdullahi Abdulkadir in his office on Friday, 24th July, 2026.

Presenting the letters, the Dean congratulated the students on their outstanding achievement and commended the ICT Directorate for recognising excellence and rewarding diligence, commitment and exemplary conduct among students.

He urged the beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity by acquiring the specialised cybersecurity skills offered through the Ethical Hacking Certificate Programme and to continue serving as worthy ambassadors of the University.

The beneficiaries were also directed to report to the Training and Capacity Building Unit of the ICT Directorate to complete their registration and other necessary formalities for enrolment in the Ethical Hacking Certificate Programme.
