The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu, has congratulated outgoing 2025 Batch B Stream I corps members on successfully completing their one-year national service.
NYSC Director-General, Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu, has urged outgoing 2025 Batch B Stream I corps members to utilise their SAED entrepreneurial skills, promote national unity, and contribute to Nigeria's economic development after completing their service year.
In a farewell message to the corps members, Nafiu congratulated them on the successful completion of the mandatory one-year national service, describing their contributions to communities across the country as a reflection of patriotism, discipline and selfless service.
He commended the corps members for their commitment at their various places of primary assignment, noting that their efforts contributed to community development and reinforced the objectives for which the NYSC Scheme was established.
The NYSC boss encouraged the outgoing corps members to utilise the knowledge gained through the Scheme’s Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, saying the initiative was designed to equip young graduates with practical skills that would enable them to establish businesses and create employment opportunities.

According to him, the country’s economic growth depends not only on government but also on young Nigerians who are prepared to innovate, build enterprises and contribute meaningfully to national development.
Nafiu also urged the departing corps members to remain worthy ambassadors of the Scheme by upholding the values of discipline, integrity and service wherever they find themselves.
He further called on them to sustain their belief in a united Nigeria, stressing that national development requires the collective commitment of every citizen.
Wishing the corps members success in their future careers and personal endeavours, the Director-General expressed confidence that the experiences gained during the service year would prepare them for greater responsibilities in society.
