FUL Vice-Chancellor Pays Courtesy Visit to Attah Igala Ahead of Tenure Completion

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, accompanied by his management team, paid a formal “thank you” visit to His Royal Majesty, Dr. Matthew Opaluwa Oguche-Akpa, Attah Igala and President of the Kogi State Council of Chiefs, at his palace in Idah.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, accompanied by his management team, paid a formal “thank you” visit to His Royal Majesty, Dr. Matthew Opaluwa Oguche-Akpa, Attah Igala and President of the Kogi State Council of Chiefs, at his palace in Idah.

Professor Akinwumi used the visit to officially inform the Attah of the upcoming expiration of his tenure as Vice-Chancellor. He expressed deep gratitude for the monarch’s fatherly guidance, continuous prayers, and support for the university. The Vice-Chancellor also prayed for the Attah’s long life, good health, and continued peaceful reign over his domain.

The occasion also provided Professor Akinwumi the opportunity to acknowledge the Attah’s presence at FUL’s 9th Convocation Ceremony, clarifying certain points regarding the visit and respectfully seeking the royal father’s blessings as he prepares to transition to higher responsibilities.
