FULafia Vice-Chancellor Appoints New MIS Director and Faculty Leaders
The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia appoints Engr. Torkuma Agber as Acting Director of MIS and several new department heads.

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved the appointment of Engr. Torkuma Agber as the Acting Director of the Management Information System (MIS) for a one-year term, effective from September 10, 2024.
Additionally, Prof. Abdul Rahman extended the tenure of Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Rabiu as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences until October 10, 2024.
Other notable appointments include Dr. Ayeni Omini Abam, named Acting Head of the Department of Statistics in the Faculty of Science for one year starting from September 19, 2024, and Dr. Adikaibe Valentine, appointed Acting Head of the Department of Surgery in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, effective from September 5, 2024.
The appointments were officially announced by the University’s Registrar, Malam Nuradeen Abdu.
These key appointments reflect the university’s commitment to maintaining academic and administrative excellence.
