40-Year-Old Man Commits Suicide in Jigawa School Classroom.

A 40-year-old man, Jibrin Adamu, has committed suicide by hanging himself in Marika village, Kiyawa Local Government Area, Jigawa State. The incident occurred on Thursday at Miftahul Khairat Islamiyya and Primary School Gurdiba, where Adamu was found hanging in a classroom.

Police spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed the incident, stating that the police received the report around 6:30 PM. The Divisional Police Officer of Kiyawa and his team, under the directive of Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi, promptly responded to the scene. They discovered Adamu’s lifeless body hanging from the ceiling.

The body was transported to Dutse General Hospital, where a medical doctor confirmed his death. The corpse was later released to his relatives for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Adamu, a family man, occasionally suffered from mental health issues, causing him to leave home for several days. An investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of his death.
