Fulafia Vice-Chancellor Meets with Faculty of Science to Discuss Restructuring and Strategic Plans

Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (Fulafia), held a strategic meeting with the Dean and heads of departments of the Faculty of Science to discuss key institutional matters.
The meeting, attended by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Professor Aleruchi Chuku, and Registrar, Mallam Nuruddeen Abdu, focused on plans to restructure the faculty for improved efficiency and service delivery.
A key proposal discussed was the unbundling of the Faculty of Science into two separate faculties, tentatively named the Faculty of Plant Science and the Faculty of Physical Science. The Vice-Chancellor encouraged the faculty's leadership to propose alternative names for the proposed faculties.
Professor Abdul Rahman emphasized the importance of integrity in academia, urging the team to shun practices that could bring their profession and the university into disrepute. He also stressed the need for innovative thinking, encouraging faculty members to leverage technology to address institutional challenges.
In response, the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Mathew Aremu, expressed gratitude for the Vice-Chancellor's support and assured him of the faculty's unwavering support for his policies.
