FULafia Vice-Chancellor Reaffirms Academic Calendar Stability; Sets January 15 Registration Deadline
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has assured the student body that the institution’s academic calendar remains stable and unchanged for the current session.
The Vice-Chancellor gave this assurance during a high-level meeting with the Students’ Union Government (SUG) and the Students Integrity Club (SIC) at the New Senate Building.
Professor Abdul Rahman emphasized the necessity of meeting administrative timelines, urging all students to complete their registration on or before January 15, 2026. He noted that timely compliance is essential for maintaining the integrity of the academic session.
Highlighting the university’s shift toward a modern pedagogical approach, the Vice-Chancellor stated that "online learning has come to stay." He advised students to maximize the resources available at the University’s e-learning hub and to regularly monitor the official website for forthcoming course registration details.
The University Bursar, Dr. Daniel Wilson, raised concerns regarding the current low turnout for registration, appealing to students to finalize their payments and documentation promptly to avoid last-minute complications.
In response, the SUG President, Comrade Ishaqa I. Abubakar, pledged to launch a widespread sensitization campaign to ensure students adhere to the deadline. Similarly, the Vice President of the Students Integrity Club, Comrade Abubakar Dahiru Ladan, affirmed the club's support in disseminating the Vice-Chancellor’s directives to the wider student community.
The administration’s firm stance on the January 15 deadline underscores FULafia’s commitment to administrative efficiency and the continued integration of digital learning platforms.
