FULokoja Ends Payment of School Fees in Installments

The Management of Federal University Lokoja (FULokoja) has announced the discontinuation of school fees installment payments, effective from the 2025/2026 academic session.

This decision was reached during the 112th Regular Meeting of the Principal Officers Committee (POC) held on Monday, September 22, 2025, where members expressed concern over the widespread abuse of the installment payment privilege.

According to the Committee, a significant number of students have defaulted in completing their fee payments after registration, leaving the University under serious financial strain and unable to meet key obligations.

The POC further noted that the introduction of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund)—a government-backed initiative designed to support students financially and ensure no one is left behind—provides an alternative avenue for students in need of assistance.

Consequently, the University has directed that, starting from the 2025/2026 academic session, all students must pay their school fees in full at the point of registration and at the commencement of each session.
