McPherson University has formally bid farewell to Mrs. Adewunmi Olabimpe Oluwakemi, Principal Assistant Registrar, who joined the institution on sabbatical from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo State.

McPherson University has formally bid farewell to Mrs. Adewunmi Olabimpe Oluwakemi, Principal Assistant Registrar, who joined the institution on sabbatical from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo State.

In a brief but heartfelt send-forth ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francis Igbasan, commended Mrs. Adewunmi for her outstanding contributions to the University, noting that she played a pivotal role in establishing and strengthening the Examinations and Records Unit.

“She became a part of the University community last year and was posted to the newly created Examinations and Records Unit. With her wealth of experience, she successfully managed the Unit and laid a solid foundation for its operations,” the Vice-Chancellor said.

Following her excellent performance, Mrs. Adewunmi was later redeployed to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor as Administrative Coordinator, where she efficiently coordinated management meetings and maintained accurate records and minutes.

Professor Igbasan lauded her dedication, professionalism, and warmth, describing her as a committed administrator whose contributions have left a lasting impact on the University community.

The Ag. Registrar, in his remarks, offered prayers for Mrs. Adewunmi, wishing her journey mercies and continued success in her career as she returns to her home institution.

In her farewell speech, Mrs. Adewunmi expressed profound gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and the entire McPherson University family for their love, support, and cooperation during her stay. She described Professor Igbasan as “a fatherly figure and a wonderful person to work with,” while expressing her joy at being part of the University’s growth story.

The event was marked by warm tributes, prayers, and expressions of goodwill, reflecting the deep appreciation and respect she earned from colleagues and management alike.
