In a rare display of spiritual devotion and servant leadership, the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, held dual thanksgiving services to dedicate his tenure and personal life to divine service.

The events, held at the University Chapel of Grace and Living Faith Church, Lokoja, brought together the university management, staff, students, and clergy to celebrate the strides recorded within the VC's first week in office.

At the campus service, Professor Ibileye attributed the university’s early successes to collective effort and divine grace. The officiating minister, Bishop Olukayode Ajibade, led the congregation in prayers for wisdom and academic excellence, noting that the Vice-Chancellor's leadership is anchored on institutional progress and peace.

The second service, themed "Marvelous in Our Eyes," featured a deeply symbolic gesture that resonated with the congregation. In an act of humility that drew widespread applause, Professor Ibileye publicly volunteered to serve in the church's Sanctuary Unit, specifically offering to carry offering bowls during services.

"Leadership is a sacred trust," the Vice-Chancellor stated, emphasizing that his appointment was an act of divine favor. He vowed to serve with accountability to both the university and his faith.

The services concluded with intercessory prayers for Federal University Lokoja, seeking sustained growth and harmony under Professor Ibileye’s administration.
