FUMMSA VC Praises FUNAAB's Pivotal Role in University's Growth

The Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta (FUMMSA), Prof. Fatiu Arogundade, has expressed profound gratitude to the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) for its crucial support in FUMMSA's establishment and growth.

Speaking ahead of FUMMSA's maiden Matriculation Ceremony, Prof. Arogundade described FUNAAB as a "foundational pillar" that has positioned FUMMSA among Nigeria's fastest-growing universities. He highlighted FUNAAB's commitment to expanding educational access and fostering scholarship, significantly contributing to national development.

FUMMSA, established on February 23, 2023, aims to strengthen healthcare delivery, broaden access to quality medical education, and accelerate human capital development. The university has a carrying capacity of 1,000 students, with admissions conducted through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Prof. Arogundade appealed for endowments, donations, and gifts to accelerate the development of FUMMSA's permanent site, emphasizing the need for infrastructure to meet regulatory requirements. He expressed gratitude to the Ogun State Government and Governor Dapo Abiodun for their support.
