FUNAAB Alumni Endow University with Ojogbon Orchard Park

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has received a remarkable gift from two distinguished alumni, Prof. Adeniyi Afolabi and Farmer Ayopo Somefun, who have endowed the university with the Ojogbon Orchard Park.

The park was commissioned on August 22, 2025, in a ceremony that highlighted the humanitarian gesture's potential to benefit generations to come.

The park is strategically located to ensure accessibility and visibility during major university events.The first phase of the project features 1,000 fruit trees comprising 10 different varieties, with plans to introduce more varieties in the coming year.

The Alumni Association has consistently supported students through various initiatives, including providing foodstuffs during examination periods and scholarships for indigent students.
