FUNAAB DVC Appointed Vice-Chancellor of Aletheia University

Prof. Olukayode Dewunmi Akinyemi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of Aletheia University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, effective immediately.

A renowned expert in Solid Earth Physics/Geophysics, Prof. Akinyemi chairs FUNAAB's Employability and Benchmarking Committee and is a Fellow of the Indian Society of Earth Sciences and Nigerian Institute of Physics, as well as a member of the American Geophysical Union.

This appointment adds to FUNAAB scholars' growing list of leadership positions in Nigerian universities, including Prof. Flora Tobolayefa Oluwafemi (Nigeria Maritime University), Prof. Mufutau Olaoye Atayese (Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji), and Prof. Adekojo Waheed (British Canadian University, Calabar) .
