FUNAAB Expert Calls for Innovative Financing to Empower Nigerian Farmers

A professor of agricultural finance and policy, Dorcas Adegbite, has emphasized the need for innovative and inclusive agricultural financing models to address the challenges faced by Nigerian farmers in accessing timely and adequate funding for agricultural expansion.

This was stated during the 105th Inaugural Lecture of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), titled “Financing the Cooperatives: Repayment Culture for Sustainable Agricultural Development.”

The Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, commended Prof. Adegbite for her intellectual contributions and leadership in agricultural finance research. The event reinforced the University’s reputation as a centre of excellence in agricultural innovation, policy research, and capacity building.
