FUNAAB Governing Council Inspects Ongoing Projects

The Governing Council of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), led by the Pro-Chancellor, His Royal Majesty Oba Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, has inspected the ongoing construction of the Principal Officers' Quarters and other major infrastructural projects on campus.

The inspection, which took place on June 24, 2025, was conducted in the company of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, and other council members and top university officials.

The Pro-Chancellor expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work at the construction site, commending the Directorate of Physical Planning for their professionalism. He emphasized the importance of providing on-campus accommodation for principal officers to enhance productivity.

The Pro-Chancellor reassured that plans are underway to build additional staff quarters to accommodate members of staff who wish to reside on campus, highlighting the council's dedication to staff welfare.

The inspection team also toured other critical infrastructure projects under construction, including the Phase II Building of the College of Physical Sciences, a Suspended-Floor Hostel Complex, a 100-Capacity Veterinary Laboratory, and a Greenhouse facility.

The inspection tour demonstrates the Governing Council's commitment to hands-on oversight and its resolve to accelerate the infrastructural development blueprint of the university.
