FUNAAB Matriculates 244 Part-Time Degree Students
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has formally matriculated 244 newly admitted students into its Part-Time Degree Programme (PTDP) on December 18, 2025, in a ceremony held at the Postgraduate School Auditorium.

The event followed tradition, with Deans from the respective Colleges presenting the students in the established academic order.
In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Olawale Dairo, congratulated the students for gaining admission to FUNAAB. He commended their dedication to career advancement and self-improvement, noting that their choice of FUNAAB reflected a strong commitment to professional growth and scholarly achievement.
Prof. Kehinde acknowledged the challenges part-time students often face, including balancing studies with work and family responsibilities, and assured them of the University’s continued support in delivering flexible and high-quality education without compromising academic standards.
The Vice-Chancellor emphasised FUNAAB’s specialised status and urged the students to fully utilise available academic facilities, support services, and administrative resources. He also highlighted the matriculation as a solemn commitment to uphold the University’s principles of excellence, integrity, and discipline, advising students to manage their time effectively, maintain exemplary conduct, and engage constructively with lecturers and academic advisors.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the matriculation oath by Dr. Titus Adeniyi, Registrar. Other dignitaries in attendance included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olusegun Idowu; Mrs. Margaret Omisope, representing the Bursar; PTDP Coordinator, Dr. Enovwo Odjegba; Principal Assistant Registrar (Senate and Admissions), Mrs. Olufunmilola Sorinmade; and Deans from the participating Colleges.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the 244 students as they officially embarked on their academic journey at FUNAAB.
