FUNAAB Mubi Alerts Public to Fake VC Facebook Account

The Management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi, has issued a public notice warning staff and the general public about a fraudulent Facebook account impersonating the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bitrus Dawi Tarfa.

The fake account uses the VC's name and picture, and provides a phone number (0916 702 8178) purportedly belonging to the VC. The Management has disclaimed the account, stating that Prof. Tarfa would never engage in deceitful activities.

The University urges everyone to exercise caution when interacting with social media accounts claiming to represent the Vice Chancellor and to report the impersonator to Facebook for necessary action.
