FUNAAB VC Reaffirms Commitment to Staff Welfare and Healthy Living

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, has reaffirmed the university management's commitment to staff welfare and healthy living.

This assurance was made during a courtesy visit to the Congress of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU-FUNAAB) on July 22, 2025.

During the visit, Prof. Kehinde empathized with the union over the loss of some members and called for unity, understanding, and compassion among colleagues. He encouraged staff to prioritize their health and adopt positive lifestyles, regardless of age.

The university is working closely with the University Health Services to facilitate free medical tests for staff as part of preventive healthcare measures. Prof. Kehinde also disclosed plans to engage other staff unions through similar visits to harmonize efforts and drive holistic wellness initiatives across the campus.

The congress included a health talk by representatives of Richlance International Limited, a food supplement specialist firm, and a solemn prayer session in honor of departed members and for the well-being of the living. This visit demonstrates the university's commitment to staff welfare and its proactive approach to fostering a supportive work environment.
