FUOYE Celebrates Prof. Olushola Sunday Ayanda as Institution's Youngest Professor

Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has celebrated the remarkable academic ascent of Professor Olushola Sunday Ayanda (popularly known as OS Ayanda), who achieved the rank of Professor at the age of 42, making him the youngest to hold the title at the institution.

A trailblazer in cutting-edge science, Professor Ayanda serves as the Pioneer Director of Innovation and Digital Technology at FUOYE. His academic chair is in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, a field critical to modern industrial and medical advancements.

Professor Ayanda’s journey is marked by international excellence and a strong foundational background in Nigeria:

B.Sc. (Hons) & M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry: Earned from the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) in 2005 and 2009, respectively.

Ph.D. in Chemistry: Obtained from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), South Africa.

As the Director of Innovation and Digital Technology, Prof. Ayanda is instrumental in driving the university's digital transformation and fostering a culture of research-driven solutions. His achievement is viewed by the university community as a "beacon of inspiration" for young academics across the country, proving that dedication and specialized research can lead to rapid career progression.
