The Management of the Faculty of Law at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), has repaired the long-abandoned toilet, a development which the students say have brought relief to them.
The toilet facility, which was once in good condition, with running water, has stopped functioning and was gradually abandoned, forcing some to avoid using the facility entirely. However, while some students who spoke with Digest Press welcomed the new development, they also advocated more work still needs to be done to ensure proper use and sustainability of the new development. For example, Abubakar Gambari, a 400-level student, described the repair as a positive step by the Faculty.
He added that the work is not yet complete as the toilet still needs buckets and hand washing soap for the. "We also want the mosque taps to be repaired," he said. Gambari emphasized the importance of maintenance to prevent future problems of these facilities.
“The only way to prevent future obstacles is through proper maintenance, correct usage, and regular cleaning of the toilet, as prevention is better than cure.”Similarly, Abdulwaheed Kabir Ishola, a 300-level student, said the repair has improved hygiene despite its long period of neglect.

This is indeed a good step by the faculty,” she said.Dean Assures More ServicesReacting to the development, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor K. G.
