UNICROSS Governing Council Appoints New Registrar and Bursar
The Governing Council of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has officially announced the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Catherine Osai as the substantive Registrar and Mr. Wilson Aniyom as the substantive Bursar of the institution.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of the University’s Governing Council, Ntufam Dr. Fidelis Ugbo, following a rigorous and competitive interview process concluded on Friday, January 23, 2026.
Dr. (Mrs.) Catherine Osai (Registrar): A seasoned administrator, Dr. Osai previously served as the Deputy Registrar and Head of Administration in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor. She takes over from Barrister Ogban I. Ogban, who held the position in an acting capacity.
Mr. Wilson Aniyom (Bursar): Prior to his substantive appointment, Mr. Aniyom served the university in an acting capacity as Bursar. His confirmation is seen as a move to ensure continuity and stability in the university’s financial management.
The University Management and Governing Council expressed full confidence in the duo, noting that their wealth of experience is vital for the institutional growth of UNICROSS. The appointments are effective immediately, and the university community has been urged to accord the new principal officers the necessary support to succeed in their respective roles.
