FUTA Registrar Charles Adeleye Inducted as Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management
The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced that its Registrar, Mr. Charles Adeleye, has been awarded the Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).

The conferment took place during the Institute’s 2025 Management Day celebration held on Wednesday, 19th November 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
During the ceremony, the President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Management, Commodore Abimbola O. Ayuba (Rtd.), FNIM, fdc., underscored the Institute’s central role in advancing professionalism and excellence in management practice across Nigeria. He highlighted the Institute’s commitment to building competent managers who can drive economic growth, strengthen institutions, and contribute to national development. Ayuba also expressed appreciation to members and stakeholders for their continued support in sustaining the Institute’s mission.

The event featured a keynote lecture delivered by the Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Mr. Olaniyi Yusuf, titled “Sustainable and Purpose-Driven Organizations: ESG, Circular Economy and Beyond.” Yusuf examined the increasing relevance of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles and circular economy frameworks in shaping modern business strategies, especially within Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape. He stressed that while profit sustains organizations, purpose sustains nations.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of both Honorary Fellowship and Fellowship awards on distinguished Nigerians whose contributions continue to influence the direction of management practice in the country. Among the honorees were the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Abimbola Hundeyin, and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III. Several eminent professionals from both the private and public sectors were also recognized for their outstanding commitment to management excellence.

The Institute reaffirmed its dedication to promoting sustainable practices, ethical leadership, and national development through competent and responsible management.
