FUTH Lafia Gets New Ambulance; Assures Patients of Improved Healthcare Services

The Federal University Teaching Hospital, FUTH, Lafia, has taken delivery of a new ambulance, a development the management says will strengthen emergency response and improve healthcare delivery to patients.

The hospital management stated that the addition of the ambulance to its fleet is part of ongoing efforts to enhance service delivery, ensure timely evacuation of patients, and reduce delays in critical cases.

According to the management, the new ambulance is fully equipped to provide immediate medical attention during transit and will support the hospital’s accident and emergency, maternity, and referral services.

Speaking on the development, the Chief Medical Director of FUTH Lafia said the hospital remains committed to upgrading its facilities and responding to the needs of patients. 

He assured members of the public that the institution will continue to prioritise patient care, safety and prompt intervention, especially in emergencies.

The CMD added that the ambulance will be deployed strategically to serve both in-hospital emergencies and referrals to and from other health facilities within Nasarawa State and neighbouring states.

Staff and patients at the hospital welcomed the development, noting that it will help address challenges associated with emergency transportation and improve access to critical care.

The management reaffirmed its commitment to continuous improvement in infrastructure, equipment and manpower to meet the healthcare needs of the people.
