Prof. A. G. Suleiman Appointed Director of Administration and Human Resources, Northwest Development Commission

The Northwest Development Commission, NWDC, has announced the appointment of Prof. A. G. Suleiman as its Director of Administration and Human Resources.

Until his appointment, Prof. Suleiman was a senior academic and administrator at the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN.

A Professor of Sports Management, he was the pioneer Head of the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education at NOUN. He also served as Centre Director of both the Abuja Model Study Centre and the Lagos Study Centre.

Prof. Suleiman is widely known for his contributions to instructional content development. He authored and content-lectured multiple multimedia courses for NOUN in areas such as Community Recreation, Accident Prevention, Safety Education, and Sports Psychology.

He has also served the University in key governance roles, including as a Congregation Representative on the NOUN Governing Council.

The NWDC described the appointment as part of its commitment to bringing in experienced professionals to drive its mandate of accelerated development across the Northwest region.

The Commission stated that Prof. Suleiman’s wealth of experience in administration, human resource management, and academic leadership will be critical in strengthening the Commission’s internal systems and supporting its development programmes.

The management, staff and students of NOUN have congratulated Prof. Suleiman and are wishing him success in his new assignment.
