FUTMINNA Students' Union Enhances Campus Security with Police Collaboration

The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) Students' Union Government has taken proactive measures to bolster campus security, following a series of lodge burglaries and thefts.

Led by Executive President, Comrade Divine Prince Daniel, the Students' Union executives paid a courtesy visit to the Kpakungu Police Divisional Quarters and Gidan Kwano Police Division Outpost. The delegation held productive discussions with police authorities to strengthen security for off-campus students.

Key outcomes of the meeting include:

1. Establishment of emergency contacts for patrol teams, flush teams, and the police control room.

2. Assurance of 24-hour rapid response to distress calls from the DPO, Kpakungu Police Division.

3. Encouragement to file reports at Gidan Kwano Police Outpost or Kpakungu Police Division in cases of theft.

Comrade Divine Prince Daniel emphasized the Students' Union's commitment to prioritizing student welfare and ensuring a safer campus environment.

"We urge all students to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or emergencies to the Students' Union. Together, we can create a more secure community," he said.
