Governor Alia Launches Free Breast Cancer Screening Campaign at BSUTH

Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has partnered with Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi, to provide free breast cancer screenings. The initiative, part of Governor Alia’s broader crusade against cancer, will run from September 9 to 30, 2024, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.

Women aged 40 and above are encouraged to visit the hospital for this free service aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer and ensuring early diagnosis. The campaign underscores the importance of regular health checks and hopes to significantly reduce cancer-related fatalities through early detection.

Governor Alia, well known for his commitment to improving healthcare access in the state, is leading this effort to combat cancer and improve the overall well-being of Benue residents.

Participants are encouraged to take advantage of this free screening, which is a key part of the state government's healthcare agenda.
