The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) community began benefiting from the Ounje Eko discount market today, Friday, September 6, 2024. The initiative, launched by Prof. Abiodun Denloye, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, took place at the University Convocation ground on the Ikorodu Campus.

This initiative is part of the Lagos State Government’s broader efforts to provide relief to residents, particularly in the area of food security. The Ounje Eko discount market aims to offer affordable food items to the university community and surrounding areas.

The market will operate for eight consecutive Fridays, from September 6, 2024, to October 25, 2024, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The sales will be held at the open field beside the boardroom on the LASUSTECH Ikorodu Campus.

This initiative underscores the commitment of the Lagos State Government to ensuring food security and providing economic relief to its residents. The university community is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to purchase food items at discounted rates.
