I didn’t drop out of school in the UK, I paused so I can come and invest my money in Nigeria, I’m an Igbo girl – James Brown

In a candid revelation, the renowned Nigerian crossdresser, James Brown, affectionately known as the "Duchess of London," has clarified the recent rumors swirling online regarding his educational pursuits in the United Kingdom.

During a guest appearance on a Cool FM show hosted by Tacha, the 24-year-old James Brown addressed the speculation that he had dropped out of school in the UK. Contrary to these claims, he explained that he had temporarily paused his education.

James Brown made headlines in February 2022 when he announced, on his 23rd birthday, that he was sponsoring his own university education in the UK. Videos circulating online even showcased him attending classes in a UK classroom.

However, upon returning to Nigeria, James Brown resumed his roles in influencing and acting. This shift led many to assume that he had abandoned his UK education.

In response, during the interview, James Brown shed light on his decision. He highlighted the challenges of financing his education through unconventional means and the lack of external support. As an Igbo, he explained that he opted to temporarily pause his schooling in the UK to invest his earnings in Nigeria, where he felt there were more opportunities to generate income.

He revealed, "I'm an Igbo girl; I put school on pause in the UK so I can come and invest my money in Nigeria."

James Brown's story reflects the complex choices individuals often face in pursuit of their dreams and ambitions, as well as the diverse paths to success in today's world. His openness about his educational journey serves as a reminder that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to achieving one's goals, and sometimes, unconventional decisions can lead to remarkable outcomes.
