KADSSU Ignites Campus Spirit with Vibrant Mega Rally at FUE Zaria

The Kaduna State Students’ Union (KADSSU), Federal University of Education, Zaria chapter, energized the university community this week with a high-spirited "Mega Rally" to welcome new and returning students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Led by the Union President, Comrade Ramalan Usman Abdu, and his executive team, the rally transformed the campus into a sea of advocacy and student solidarity.

The march featured students carrying placards and banners promoting core values essential for a successful university experience. The union focused its message on:

Academic Integrity: Encouraging hard work, honesty, and a commitment to academic excellence.

Decent Conduct: Promoting a culture of decent dressing and mutual respect among peers.

Healthy Living: Sensitizing students against drug abuse and other negative habits that derail educational goals.

Beyond the advocacy, Comrade Abdu noted that the rally aimed to create a "friendly and supportive atmosphere" to help newly admitted students navigate their first few weeks on campus. The event provided a platform for students to:

Foster unity across different departments.

Make new friends and build social support networks.

Acquaint themselves with the FUE Zaria campus landscape.

In his address to the students, the Union President issued a stern warning against rumour-mongering, corruption, and discrimination. He urged the students to start the session with "energy, focus, and determination," emphasizing that the union remains a partner in their welfare and success.

The rally concluded with a vibrant display of campus culture, marking a celebratory start to the 2026 academic calendar.
