Kaduna State University Hosts Inaugural Allied Health Science Student Week

Kaduna State University's Association of Allied Health Science Students (AHSSA) successfully launched its inaugural Student Week on September 25, 2024, with a symposium focused on "The Role of Allied Health Science in Healthcare Delivery: Challenges and Opportunities."

Held at the Pharmacy 500-seater Auditorium, the event drew esteemed guests, including Prof. J.A. Onaolapo, Provost of the College of Allied Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences; Prof. Adamu Ahmed Rufai, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences; and Dr. M.K. Dauda, Deputy Dean, Student Affairs Division.

Keynote speaker Prof. Ahmed Rufai Yusuf, Registrar of the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Board, highlighted the significance of Allied Health Sciences in modern healthcare. An interactive session followed, featuring representatives from the faculty's four departments, exploring career opportunities and emerging trends.

Speakers emphasized the need for curriculum adaptation to meet evolving healthcare demands, ensuring future professionals deliver high-quality services. Prof. Onaolapo urged students to remain committed to their education, assuring them of the university's support.
