JAMB to End Regularization for Candidates Admitted Outside CAPS
This policy applies to admissions starting from the 2024 academic year.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will no longer allow the regularization of admissions for candidates who were not admitted through its Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). This policy applies to admissions starting from the 2024 academic year.
In a recent statement, JAMB urged candidates who gained admission through Pre-Degree programs between 2017 and 2020, or those who changed programs within their universities, to apply for the Condonement of Undisclosed Illegal Institutional Admissions (CUIIA), commonly known as JAMB Regularization, before the first week of September 2024.
JAMB emphasized that all tertiary institutions in Nigeria must process admissions through CAPS moving forward. The board also warned candidates to avoid accepting admissions offered outside the JAMB system, stating that it will not tolerate any form of illegal or irregular admission conducted by institutions.
This announcement reinforces JAMB's commitment to maintaining transparency and order in the admission process for all tertiary institutions in the country.
