Kano State Government to Partner with SOAS, University of London, to Enhance Northwest University, Kano

The Kano State Government is set to partner with the University of London (UK) to boost academic excellence at Northwest University, Kano.

This was disclosed by the State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Wednesday in London during the graduation ceremony of the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, which he attended.

According to the Governor, Kano State is committed to bridging the gap between the institution's staff and students and achieving global recognition. He noted that the university is equipped with qualified lecturers, modern teaching and learning tools, and a conducive academic environment.

Recall that earlier this year, the State Government reverted the institution’s name from Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano, to its original name, Northwest University, Kano.
