Kano State Governor Welcomes Home 150 Foreign Scholarship Graduates

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has welcomed 150 beneficiaries of the Kano State foreign postgraduate scholarship program, who have returned after completing their master's degrees at top international universities in India and Uganda.

 

The graduates represent a diverse group of institutions, with 150 from Sharda University, India, 98 from Mewar University, 58 from Symbiosis University, 30 from Kalinga University, 29 from SR University, 23 from Swarnim University, and 33 from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), among others.

During a reception held at the Government House, Governor Yusuf commended the students for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance. He noted that the foreign scholarship program is a cornerstone of his administration's vision for human capital development.

In a significant move, the governor announced automatic employment for graduates in engineering, medicine, pharmaceutical, and other health-related fields. This initiative aims to address the shortage of skilled healthcare professionals and improve the state's healthcare system and infrastructure development.

 

The Kano State Government's foreign postgraduate scholarship scheme has provided international exposure and advanced training for the state's brightest minds. The program is a testament to Governor Yusuf's commitment to education and human capital development.
