KASU Management Receives Newly Elected KASUMSA Officials, Commends Humanitarian Efforts
The Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University, Professor Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategy, Innovation and Service Delivery), Professor Helen Afang Andow, received the newly elected officials of KASUMSA during a courtesy visit to the University Management.
The Vice-Chancellor through the deputy Vice-Chancellor applauded KASUMSA for its active community outreach and humanitarian engagements, describing them as true reflections of discipline, commitment, and excellence. Prof Helen encouraged all Kasumsites to remain focused, transparent, and dedicated, while assuring the Association of Management’s continued support for key activities. She also commended the leadership of President Faisal Salisu and urged his administration to uphold accountability and institutional responsibility.
In his remarks, the KASUMSA President formally introduced the 2026 Executive and Legislative Councils presenting the administration’s strategic blueprint centered on Institutional Strengthening and Sustainable Student Development which was presented by the Director of Welfare, Mardiyya Mustapha Khalid. He emphasized academic advancement, student welfare, governance transparency, financial sustainability (including the request of the 2% allocation from the college fee for the 2024/2025 administration), and stronger institutional collaboration reaffirming the Association’s commitment to structured implementation and measurable impact.
