Katsina State Governor Congratulates Abdulsalam Rabiu on National Qur'anic Recitation Victory

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated Abdulsalam Rabiu, a Katsina-born medical student, on his outstanding achievement at the 39th National Qur'anic Recitation Competition held in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.

 

Abdulsalam Rabiu emerged first position in the prestigious third category (male) for memorizing 60 Hizbs of the Glorious Qur'an. Governor Radda praised Rabiu as "not just a pride of Katsina, but a shining example of the talents being nurtured under our administration's educational initiatives".

The Governor noted that the victory resonates deeply with the Katsina State Government's commitment to fostering both Islamic and Western Education. He expressed optimism about Rabiu's prospects at the forthcoming Global Qur'anic Recitation Competition, where he will potentially represent Nigeria.

The eight-day competition, organized by the Musabaqah Foundation for Qur'anic Recitation in Nigeria, featured 238 participants competing across six categories. Governor Radda assured the people of Katsina State that the government will continue to invest heavily in educational infrastructure and create an enabling environment for youth to excel in both religious and secular pursuits.
