KWASU Vice Chancellor Addresses Social Media Misconduct by Students
The Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, has issued a statement addressing the recent social media misconduct by some students of the institution.
The statement comes after videos of students wearing KWASU matriculation gowns and engaging in behavior that portrays the institution in a negative light went viral on social media.
Professor Jimoh emphasized the importance of protecting the name and integrity of KWASU, stating that it is the responsibility of all students and staff to uphold the institution's excellence. He noted that the students involved in the videos have been identified and will face disciplinary actions.
The Vice Chancellor urged all students to resist any motivation to cast the institution in a negative light and to focus on being the best they can be. He assured students that the university will provide the necessary support to ensure they become the best version of themselves.
