The Commissioner of Police for the Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, has lauded the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for its sophisticated security architecture, citing it as a benchmark for institutional safety in Nigeria.

Speaking on Thursday, December 18, 2025, during the End-of-the-Year Annual Lecture and Thanksgiving Programme organized by the University of Lagos Security Unit, CP Jimoh emphasized that a stable and secure academic environment is a critical pillar of national peace.

The event, held at the Jelili Adebisi Omotola Multipurpose Hall, served as a platform to review the university’s security milestones over the past year.
