LASU Leadership Congratulates Mr Kabiru Olawale Okugbesan on Appointment as Pioneer Registrar, FUST Epe

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi OLATUNJI-BELLO, mni, NPOM, and the University Registrar, Mr Emmanuel A. FANU, MANUPA, FCAI, have congratulated Mr Kabiru Olawale OKUGBESAN, MANUPA, MNIM, MCIPM, MITD, FCAI, on his appointment and inauguration as the Pioneer Registrar of the newly established Federal University of Science and Technology, Epe, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Mr Okugbesan, until his new appointment, served as Deputy Registrar in the Senate Affairs Division and Secretary to the University Ceremonies Committee. Having risen through the ranks to the position of Deputy Registrar, he distinguished himself as a seasoned administrator whose contributions to institutional governance and development remain noteworthy in the University’s history.

The Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar note that his appointment reflects the calibre of administrators produced by Lagos State University and further underscores the institution’s continued impact on the Nigerian higher education landscape.

The duo, on behalf of the University community, celebrates the milestone and wish Mr Okugbesan a successful and fulfilling tenure as he contributes to laying a strong administrative foundation for the growth and development of the new institution. 

Mr Okugbesan was inaugurated alongside other members of the management team of the new university on Wednesday, 11th March 2026 by the Minister of Education, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Maruf Olatunji, in Abuja.

He joins the growing list of administrative staff of LASU recently appointed to leadership positions across tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
