MAAUN Founder Pledges Hilux Vehicle, Offers Strategic Guidance to NWUK Leadership

The Founder and President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has pledged the donation of a Hilux vehicle to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Kano (NWUK) in support of the University's administration.

The pledge was made during a courtesy visit by the Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Kano, Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, and members of the University's Management and Governing Council to Professor Gwarzo in Abuja on Wednesday, 24th June 2026.

During the engagement, Professor Gwarzo offered valuable advice to the University Management on strategies for accelerating growth and enhancing the University's profile. In a remarkable gesture of goodwill, he instantly pledged the donation of a Hilux vehicle to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor to support the administration's activities.

Professor Gwarzo commended Professor Amina Salihi Bayero and her team for their commitment to advancing the University and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their efforts to transform NWUK into a leading institution of higher learning.

Describing the visit as a family engagement, both parties acknowledged the longstanding cordial relationship between Northwest University Kano and MAAUN. The relationship is further strengthened by the fact that Professor Amina Salihi Bayero previously served at the MAAUN Kano Campus, while Professor Gwarzo remains a close friend and supporter of Northwest University Kano.
