Families and well-wishers gathered as the matriculants, adorned in academic regalia, processed from the Mass Communication building to the university podium. The ceremony commenced with a holy mass led by Very Rev. Father Jude O., representing the university's founder, Very Rev. Fr. Prof. Emmanuel Mathew Paul Edeh OFR. The sermon centered on the theme of "Vision," urging students to stay focused amidst challenges, drawing from readings of the book of Kings.

The matriculation proceedings were deftly managed by Dr. Charles C. Eze, Head of Department, Mass Communication, serving as Master of Ceremonies. Dignitaries present included Prof. Uchenna Casmir Anyanwu, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. C. C. Ntamere, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Okija Campus, and other faculty heads.
