Maduka University Breaks Silence Over Viral Transcript Allegation by Parent

Maduka University has officially responded to a viral social media video made by parent and content creator Mrs. Chika Akhigbe over the alleged refusal to release her daughter’s academic transcript, Myschoolnews Reports.

In a statement signed by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ogbulogo, the institution described several claims made in the video as “false and misleading.”

According to the University, the student involved is from the Department of Medicine and Surgery, and official transcripts are only sent directly to receiving institutions in line with standard academic procedures, not handed to parents or students.

The management stated that the student’s father was asked to provide the name and address of the institution where the transcript should be forwarded, but the required details were not provided.

Maduka University also denied claims that the student’s school fees had been fully paid, revealing that there is still an outstanding balance of ₦500,000 from the ₦3.5 million tuition fee for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The school clarified that tuition and accommodation fees for returning medical students for the 2026/2027 academic session stand at ₦4,010,000 and not ₦4.5 million as alleged online.
