Stakeholders have attributed this rapid transformation to the strategic appointment of Engr. Dr. Christopher Okoro Kalu as Rector. Dr. Kalu, a seasoned academician, holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Advanced Control Systems.

A former Associate Professor, his tenure has been marked by a "track record in teaching and research" and a proactive approach to rebuilding the institution’s physical and academic standing.
