MDCN Grants Full Reaccreditation to BUK's MBBS Programme, Increases Intake Capacity
The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has granted full reaccreditation to Bayero University Kano's (BUK) MBBS programme for five years. The Council also approved an increase in admission capacity from 150 to 180 students per session.

Dr Idris Mohammed, Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, announced the development, attributing it to the collective effort of the university community. He expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, and the management for their support.

This achievement positions BUK among the institutions with the highest student intake for the MBBS programme in the country. The increased capacity will provide more opportunities for students to pursue medical education at the university.
