Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria to Increase Admission Quota in Universities

Registrar of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) Mr Tosan Erhabor, has approved of the decision to Increase the admission quota for universities offering Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) in Nigeria.

The Registrar told the News Agency Of Nigeria NAN, that this decision was made in other to increase medical scientists in the country as they are insufficient considering its large population.

The MLSCN has promised to extend the hand of fellowship to ensure that the upcoming medical laboratory scientists receive the standard of training comparable with what is obtained in other climes.

He started that the council will double admission in 131 college of health technology CHT offering MLT with improvement in their academy capability to provide quality training.

"With these, we will have more medical laboratory scientists and laboratory technicians to cater for the needs of our ever-increasing population.
