Meet Enemali Robert Ele-Ojo, the Best 300-level student from the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering

Enemali Robert Ele-Ojo popularly known as Head Boy hails from Kogi State, Nigeria. Born and raised in Bauchi State.

He began his academic journey at Women’s Society Nursery School, Bauchi. He then proceeded to ATBU Staff Primary School, Bauchi, from where he graduated with a position of 3rd place out of 130 students. He then advanced to International Secondary School (ISS), Bauchi, now known as Demonstration Secondary School (DSS).

During his stay in ISS, his performance was exceptional. He bagged several awards and prizes for his zeal, dedication, hard work and commitment to learning. He received awards for being the best graduating science student and also the overall best graduating student in his set in SS1, SS2 and SS3 between 2018 and 2020. He also received awards in various subjects like Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, CRS, Geography, Data Processing, among others during his stay in ISS. Due to his consistency, intellective prowess, ingeniosity and leadership skills, ISS deemed him fit and made him the Senior Prefect (Head Boy) of his set at SS2, in 2019. ISS also issued him a certificate of honor having served as Head Boy from 2019 to 2020 with diligence, humility and integrity.

In 2020, he wrote and passed his WAEC, NECO and UTME exams. He scored 305 out of 400 in his JAMB (UTME) making him the highest Jamb Scorer in his set and the only student in his set to score 300 plus. He has also represented ISS in various competitions including the InterswitchSPAK National Science Competition, National IT Whizkids Competition, Interschool Debate Competitions and the Cowbell Mathematics Competition at both Junior and Senior Categories. Among the aforementioned competitions, his team emerged second and third positions in Bauchi State and Northeast zonal level respectively in the 2019 National IT Whizkids Competition. He also led his team to firstst place in a debate competition held at Sunshine International School, Bauchi, in 2019. He has also participated in the gender vanguard CDS Inter-secondary school competition organized by NYSC Corp members held in Bauchi State, in 2019, and his team emerged third.

In 2021, his passion for machines and automated systems led him to apply for Mechanical and Production Engineering at ATBU and he was admitted. He is currently studying the course of his dreams. He has also represented his department in the first-ever Inter-departmental Mathematics Competition: Infinity Challenge volume 1 organized by the National Association of Mathematical Science Students of Nigeria (NAMSSN) in collaboration with Nigeria Association of Computing Students (NACOS) and also the first-ever NUESA Numerical Contest: Episode 1 organized by the Nigerian Universities Engineering Students’ Association (NUESA). It is worthy of note that he led his team to emerge third place in both of the aforementioned competitions.

He has also received Awards of Merit from Mechanical and Production Engineering Department and NUESA for his academic acumen and erudite intelligence.

He has provided guidance, assistance and enlightenment to other students. He has tutored his peers in courses like Mathematics, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Statistics, among others. He has also helped students academically in other educational institutions like Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, and an engineering student in Sudan, Northeast Africa.

He has developed soft skills like communication, team work, problem solving, critical thinking, time management, adaptability and of course, leadership skills.

Within the walls of academia, he has also acquired numerous certifications in courses like A.I Application for Business Success, Diploma in Computer Operations, Mathematics, Critical Thinking for Self Development, Microsoft Office XP and Internet Skills, among others.

He enjoys watching movies, reading fantasy novels, listening to music, and drawing. He played football during his secondary school.

From all his achievements so far and contributions to the field of engineering, it is evident that he is a product of God’s Grace and hard work. Some of his friends even call him Miracle.
