Meet Salim Abdulfatah Director of Information and Communication Technology of NUESA ATBU

Salim Abdulfatah, also known as Muftee, is currently a 400-level student of Civil Engineering. He was born on the 14th of June in Jos, Plateau State, and hails from Ogbomoso North LGA of Oyo State. He was raised and brought up in Jos, Plateau State.

Muftee began his academic journey at St. Anne's Private School, Jos, for his primary education from 2005-2012, during which he served as the Timekeeper in his final year. He also attended Nuruddeen Islamic and Arabic College for his Arabic and Islamic Education, and Haneef Madrasah from 2012-2017.

He then proceeded to Al-Iman School, Jos, for his secondary school education from 2012-2018, representing the school in the National Reading Competition held at the National Library in Jos, where they emerged victorious. He also attended Al-Iman College, Jos, for his secondary Islamic Education from 2015-2018.

In 2018, he scored an aggregate score of 204 in UTME alongside all other O' level requirements and was admitted to the Civil Engineering Department at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

As a Civil Engineering student, Muftee has gained practical experience in the field, attending construction sites since his second year. He is proficient in construction designs using AutoCAD, Orion, and Revit Architecture.

He was appointed as the Director of ICT of NUESA ATBU under the chairmanship of Citizen Fahad Abdullahi. His major tasks as the Director of ICT include:

- Strategic Planning and Leadership

- ICT Infrastructure Management

- Digital Transformation and Innovation

- ICT Project Management and Delivery

- Team Management and Development

- Compliance and Risk Management

- Data Management and Analytics

- Technical Support and Helpdesk Management.

He was also appointed as the Chief of Staff to the President of the Nigerian Institutes of Civil Engineering Students Association, NICESA-ATBU, under the leadership of Comr. Usman Ilyas Abdullahi.

He received an award of Excellence from the Nigerian Universities Engineering Students' Association (NUESA) as the MEDIA PERSONALITY of the Year.

Aside from academics, he is a professional graphic designer and the CEO of Muftee Graphics, engaging in different types of designs, branding, and printing.

Muftee is fluent in Arabic and can read and write well in the language.

His hobbies include catching fun with friends, watching football, and eating.
