Modibbo Adama University Alumni Class of 2005 Renovates and Donates Lecture Theatres

The Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Prof. Ibrahim Umar, has commissioned the renovated Lecture Theatres 1 and 2 donated by the Class of 2005 alumni.

The commissioning ceremony held on campus attracted staff, students, alumni, and invited guests. The project stands as a strong example of alumni commitment to institutional development.

Prof. Ibrahim Umar praised the Class of 2005 for investing in the university that shaped their academic and professional paths. He stated that the upgraded lecture theatres will improve the learning environment and support the university’s pursuit of academic excellence. He also stressed the importance of alumni partnerships in strengthening infrastructure and urged other graduating sets to follow the example set by the Class of 2005.

Speaking on behalf of the alumni, the Class Chairman, Engr. Zubairu Usman Gatugel, expressed appreciation to the university for the opportunity to contribute. He described the renovation as a gesture of gratitude and a deliberate effort to restore the facilities for the benefit of current and future students.

After a brief address, the Vice Chancellor formally commissioned the facilities and encouraged staff and students to protect and make effective use of the renovated spaces. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

University management commended the alumni for their unity, foresight, and dedication, describing the project as evidence of the enduring bond between the university and its alumni.
