LASU and UN Women Commemorate 16 Days of Activism, Focus on Ending Digital Violence

The Centre for Response and Prevention of Sexual & Gender-Based Violence (CRPSGBV) at Lagos State University (LASU), in collaboration with UN Women, organized the 2025 edition of the "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" campaign.

Held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, the global campaign focused on the theme: “Unite! To End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls.”

Professor Igot Ofem, Acting Director of CRPSGBV and representative of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, delivered the welcome address. She reiterated the university’s unwavering commitment to justice and safety, emphasizing that activism is a continuous movement demanding sustained engagement and collective responsibility.
